Our Ethos

Do the basics well and keep your promises. Recruitment isn’t rocket science, it’s about hard work and consistency. When you get the basics right, the rest follows.

We put ourselves in the shoes of both our candidates and clients. How would we want to be treated?

If you’re like any of our established clients or candidates you don’t want jargon, being hounded and sold to or us beating around the bush. You want clarity, targeted and specific actions and reliability.

Why We’re Different

Hiring or looking for a job can be life changing. You want to know the people on your side are empathetic, understanding, and trustworthy. You want advice that comes from experience. And, most importantly, you want someone who does what they say they will do.

When we say we’ll call, we’ll call. When you request the job advert, you’ll get it. When we commit to sending candidates, we send them. And as soon as we have feedback (good, bad, or indifferent), you’ll have it too. We believe in controlling the controllables.

Whilst we can blow our own trumpet in this section, we are going to run with it… We give back to the industry. Matt is an industry podcast host, you’ll often find us sponsoring categories at industry events, Matt is a mentor to The Printing Charities Rising Stars and often asked to be a judge for awards, events and accreditations; With an impartial view and an eye for detail.

Hiring?

Getting the right print, packaging, or signage people isn’t easy. It’s not a quick fix, and it’s definitely an investment. Despite what others may tell you, there’s no shortcut. So, what’s the alternative? You could try doing it yourself...

Post an advert on Indeed? Ask around if anyone knows someone looking for work? These are all options, but you’ll only be reaching a small portion of active job seekers. How much time do you have to filter through hundreds of irrelevant applications?

Where we come in is by doing all of this and more. With 15 years of experience matching talent with opportunity, day in and day out, we know how to get you the right people.

Let’s Get to the Heart of It

Before we find you the talent, we need to understand exactly what you're looking for. If we haven’t yet visited your business, that’s the first step. How can we present your opportunity to the best candidates if we haven’t seen it ourselves?

Once we’ve had a tour (and a brew), we get down to business. We’re trained to ask the right questions and, more importantly, question the answers. Take the time to invest in this process. We’ll uncover what you truly want, need, and would like. Spoiler alert: those three things are usually different!

Our Process: Quality Over Quantity

Now that we’ve got all the info, we go to work. There are plenty of ways we can help you find the right candidates, but we’re not going to share our playbook here in case a competitor is lurking around for leads. Cheeky rascals.

What we will promise is this: it’s going to be a lot more accurate than hoping the perfect person stumbles across your advert among 13,000 others.

You won’t get 15 CVs that don’t hit the mark. We’re not in this to waste your time. You’ll receive a carefully selected pool of candidates who match exactly what you’ve asked us to find. Then, it’s up to you to choose who’s the best fit.
